CFL Lighting

Did you know that 25% of all household hydro consumption is a result of lighting? What if I were to say that you can cut that lighting bill in half, or even more! How? Easy, the CFL light bulb.

Did you know that if everyone were to replace their incandescent bulbs with a CFL light, it would replace over 90 power plants! Replacing your light bulbs is one of the cheapest ways to become greener. You don't have to do it right this moment, but when your incandescent bulbs die you can replace them with CFL bulbs. Other advantages of CFL lighting is that they reduce air and water pollution, they are 4 times more efficient, they last 10 times longer, and they produce more light using less energy. For example, a 22 watt CFL light is equal to a 100 watt incandescent. Just check these great stats and choose for yourself!

Incandescent Watts - CFL Watt range - Lumen Range
40, 8 – 10, 450
60, 13 – 18, 890
75, 18 – 22, 1210
100, 23 – 28, 1750
150, 34 – 22, 2780
